Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of behavioral counseling Ivan Pavlov with modeling techniques to improve the character of completing tasks well through lesson study on students first grade. This type of research is quasi-experimental with pre-test and post-test control group design. The sample is 34 students with df 33. The method of collecting data uses a character questionnaire to complete tasks well as many as 30 items. The results of data analysis are t value tcount 26.60> ttable 2.03 so Ho is rejected and Ha is accepted. So there are significant differences. It can be concluded that Ivan Pavlov's behavioral counseling is an effective modeling technique for improving character completing tasks well.

Abstract

Truancy is an undisciplined behavior in the form of absence from learning and is included in one form of student misbehavior. If it is not immediately handled it can have a bad impact and become a habit that is attached to students. Self management technique is one of the behavioral development techniques through certain strategies that are carried out consistently to direct people to a positive change. The purpose of this study was to decide the effectiveness of self management techniques to cut truant behavior. The research subjects were 7th grade VIII students of Muhammadiyah Middle School 4 Singosari Malang. This research is a Quasi Experiment research using the pattern of pre-test and post-test. The instrument used is the scale of truant behavior, experimental guidelines, and observation guidelines. The results showed that the score of truant pre-test behavior was 31.2 (high class), while the post-test results showed a score of 17 (medium class). And based on the results of the Wilcoxon test obtained a significance of 0.018 < 0.05 means that the effective self-management technique to cut truancy behavior

Abstract

This study aims to describe empathetic listening to school counselors and directing students to difficulties. The samples in this study were 106 school counselors. Sampling method used proportional random sampling technique. The research method used is a descriptive survey. Data collection uses the School Empathy Counselor Inventory which comprises 42 items approved with reliability test results got 0.9405. The results of the study showed that most empathy listened to school counselors in students having problems with moderate categories. School Counselors are capable when listening to problem students. However, for school counselors aged 41-50 years, there was a decrease in empathy and teachers of empathy for women higher than men, so counseling training was needed to increase empathy and listening skills.

Abstract

Mistakes in choosing a career and work are very common phenomena occurring in individuals today. This is generally an estuary from not implementing a good career plan, starting from an early age to the process of education in college. Career plan needs to be done early by each individual so that they have the ability to understand information about themselves, information about career goals and realistic reasoning in understanding their own information and career goals. This research is a library research, by searching, reading, studying, and analyzing the content of books and supported by various literature related to them. Based on the research concluded that parents are one of the external factors that carry a large role in providing social support for the development of individual career plan. In particular, parents play a role in providing social support in the form of emotional, appraisal, informational and instrumental support.

Abstract

Old age is a natural process experienced by every human being who will reach old age. Old age is not a disease, but a normal process that cannot be avoided. In incomplete sentence old age many problems faced by the elderly both physical problems that have decreased and mental problems such as depression, stress and anxiety. Problems that occur in the elderly are important things that require attention and care. Hypnotherapy is one way that can be done in the elderly to reduce the problems that occur, especially regarding mental health such as anxiety. Hypnotherapy is a therapeutic method that uses hypnosis. Hypnotherapy is a direct response to the causes or roots of a problem, and what makes people enter hypnosis is the verbal suggestion. This paper tries to explain the concept of hypnotherapy and aspects related to hypnotherapy, which are aimed at reducing mental problems such as anxiety that occurs in the elderly.

Abstract

The objective of this study is to look at the socio-emotional developmental stages of preschool children. The study has been conducted in two preschool classes of Sekolah Kebangsaan King George V, Seremban, Negeri Sembilan, Malaysia. The data collection has been done via a survey questionnaire that has been administered tofifty preschoolers observed in both classes. Data collected was descriptively and inferentially analyzed using Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) software version 20.0. The main findingrevealthat the repondents’ psycho-socio-emotional development is equivalent among genders, as well as between the age of five and six years old. This initial information would help teachers to affectively prepare the guidance programme for these preschoolers when they enter elementary classes.
